Junior Mujica is the passionate Founder and Artistic Director of Improv Stars Academy—a lively and welcoming creative hub where people of all ages unlock their confidence, unleash their creativity, and connect through the magic of drama.
With a rich and varied career spanning theatre, television, and film, Junior brings a unique blend of skills—from high-energy improvisation and thrilling stage combat to cutting-edge green screen and motion capture techniques. His impressive training journey includes a degree in Acting for Film from Chichester University, a postgraduate qualification in Drama Education from Liverpool Hope University, and professional training at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. He also studied film production at York University in Canada and honed specialized motion capture skills through workshops at The Mocap Vaults.
Beyond his work in the UK, Junior has travelled extensively, teaching and coaching fellow actors across different countries around the world—sharing his expertise, inspiring growth, and building creative communities globally.
Junior’s broad expertise fuels his innovative, fun, and inspiring teaching style—whether he’s working with curious kids, ambitious teens, or adults exploring drama for the first time. His goal? To create a space where everyone feels empowered to take creative risks, tell their story, and shine in their own unique way.
In the past year, Junior has been proud to collaborate with incredible local partners like Creative Futures, Hummadruz, and the Melville Arts Centre—working together to bring bold, original community projects to life. From devising and performing a full-length original play to leading a National Theatre Connections production, these experiences have celebrated and amplified the amazing talent bubbling within the community.
After a fantastic 10-week term and two action-packed weeks of Summer School, Improv Stars Academy is buzzing with excitement to launch a fresh season this September—packed with brand-new classes, exciting projects, and expanded opportunities for young performers and adults alike.
